I take the SS nonpsionic Thri-Kreen, then add the Insectile template to it, which gives me another +4 to dex, and most importantly, 4 more arms. Then, I utilize the Multiweapon Fighting feats to build it up, and thus I get many, many attacks. (I waive multidexterity, because it is a relic of 3.0) It works like this: 4 attacks with "on" hand 3 attacks with "off" hands (x7) Give each hand a scimitar of speed, increasing the attacks by one per hand. Use the "a thousand cuts" ability of the dervish to double those, resulting in a grand total of 66 attacks. Give it wounding scimitars and make that CON damage, and you can take almost anything down in one round, except for the tarrasque. The "a thousand cuts" ability can be used in a normal full attack, so you dont have to utilize movement for it. The biggest problem is that it requires 1,602,520gp worth of Scimitars. You'd probably save money buying them all as just +1 Speed Wounding scimitars, even buying another set with three elemental bursts on each. That's the thing about weapon enhancements - costs scale exponentially. And thank you for giving me another reason to ban templates not gained by PrC levels from my game. |

| catharz01-27-05, 11:23 PM | I know it is silly, but what about a Multiheaded Sharn? At BAB +11, you get weapon attacks at +11/+11/+11/+11/+11/+11/+11/+11/+11/+6/+6/+6/+6/+6/+6/+6/+6/+6/+1/+1/+1/+1/+1/+1/+1/+1/+1, plus secondary natural bite attacks at +6/+6/+6. 30 attacks per full attack :) And remember that you can make one full attack and a standard action. If you want to spend an absolutely absurd amount of money (9 Speed weapons), 39 attacks per full attack. Then you remember how absurd a Muliheaded Sharn is, and you decide to never think of it again. |

I thought about Vorpal weapons, actually. That would certainly be fun, with 66 chances to lop off a head. With all probability, I could easily get three vorpals in that one time. But with price, I could get a friend to gate in a pit fiend or djinni to Wish me the scimitars. |
