neilthrun 11-20-05, 02:04 PM	I've been thinking of ways to play a baboon character lately. The idea is too be a sneaky treetopping scout. Heres a general build. I'm building im to level 12. No reason in particular. I just don't like the idea of a baboon higher than ECL 12. Gobo the Awakened Baboon, Neutral Evil. Baboon HD1-Weapon Focus(Bite) Baboon HD2 Baboon HD3-Point Blank Shot Ranger1(Favored Enemy:Fey) Rogue1 Rogue2-Improved Natural Attack(Bite) Ranger2(Archery Combat Style) Ranger3(endurance) Rogue3-Improved Favored Enemey(Fey), Horizon Walker1(Mountain) Fey Hunter1 Horizon Walker2(Cavernous)-Artiel Strike Equipment: Studded Leather Armor, buckler. Composite Long Bow. So what do you guys think, is making an awakened animal character worth it? Is there anything better I could do?

neilthrun 11-20-05, 11:35 PM	Depends. What LA is your DM assigning? [edit] ...and what favoured class? etc etc.. I'm assuming Baboons on their own have no LA. And I'm assuming the +2HD from awakened animal is kind of a psuedo LA for the stat increases. If anyone knows otherwise, please tell me.
UMiskatonic 11-20-05, 11:53 PM	Vanara from Oriental Adventures are monkey guys, and have a natural climb speed. Maybe that would be easier, no LA then.
