Backstab an undead? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-05-05, 09:31 AM Is there a way to get backstab against undead? I thougt I saw something aboute this on the forum. Anyone know anything?

03-05-05, 10:10 AM there are some spells in complete adventurer that can give sneak attack against normally sneak proof monsters, _______ strike i think they're called.

03-05-05, 10:19 AM Grave Strike (CA) lets you SA vs. undead.

03-05-05, 10:40 AM Yes, a wand of Grave Strike is probably your best bet. But if you don't want to rely on a magic item, the Skullclan Hunter PrC from the Miniatures Handbook has an ability called Divine Strike which allows him to Sneak Attack Undead. It's also a (ex) ability, so it will work on an AMF.

It has annoying prerequisites, though, so it's only worth it if you expect to fight LOTS of Undead.
