| Varrik10-22-03, 02:33 AM | For my next character I want to play a gnome mounted combat specialist. Level will be 7th, and only using the core book and core splats for Greyhawk. So, at first I had naturally thought about a Paladin, but the time limit on the mount, and the risk of the mount's death are draw backs to me. But I like the Shared Spells ability. So, then I thought about Summon Monster Spells, since this would increase versatility and they are rather expendable. Limit would be to increase duration you blow a feat and increase the level, or you have to increase your Cleric level. But since Cleric's don't get Ride as a Skill, that would be a problem. Then I though about a Bag of Tricks (Rust or Tan) (until maybe upgrading to a Figurine of Wonderous Power). And this idea seems to have a lot of merit. So, I guess the best thing would be to take Fighter Levels? or Paladin Levels? I don't want any experience penalties, and I definitely want to play a Gnome. The level we are aiming at is 7th, and the DM says we start with I think 9,000gp. Any suggestions, or things I haven't thought about? Your help would be appreciated. |

(applying two boni is always good) another idea would be ranger3/fighter2 to get some feats. gs Funny |
