Barb8/Fighter2/Frenzied Berserker10 OR Barb4/Fighter2/FB9/Bear Warrior5 Either way, I'll have the following feats. And, I'm using greataxe. Power Attack , Destructive Rage , Cleave , Imp Sunder , Intimidating Rage , Imp Bull Rush , Combat Expertise , Shock Trooper , Imp Trip , Combat Brute Which is better? (Any other tips appreciated.) |

In my opinion, anything that involves Frenzied Berserker is bad. If the character takes damage then he needs to make a save or start murdering the party. This could be from a trap or an invisible opponent. In that frenzy he is nearly impossible to drop. I'd prefer to go Barbarian 7/Bear Warrior 5/Warshaper 4. |
| Zodd188804-03-05, 12:39 AM | My advice goes to more fighter levels and less barb, 2 Barb will be enough, and with 8 fighter levels you are getting 5 extra feats from being a fighter, plus the 6 from leveling up making you a much more potent fighter. FB 10 is a neccessary move, if you don't take 10, go to 8, 9 should be designated as a dead level. Also if you want more frenzy argue with the DM about there being Extra whatever and say extra rage should either work with frenzy to or make him make a feat called extra frenzy. Also if you can take 2 level of EWM for the thing that gives you double your str instead of 1.5 on (Uncanny Blow) on two-handed weapons and Exotic Sunder to destroy peoples weapons way easier. So what your looking for is Barb 2/Fight 6/ EWM 2/ FB 10 or something to the sort. With that build you get full BAB and some really nice bonuses, heehee smash stuff good! Also the key is having a smart party that knows when to leave, also that invisible enemy thing, if someone is dumb enough to do that then he would be crushed after that attack in which case the party should either bail out and hide in a corner or laugh and watch the slaughter. Also you can make a D20 Will Save to stop the frenzy at any time so just try to get some wisdom buffs or take a feat that increases the save (because your not going to have a high one). You may want to look at the BoED for the +4 exalted against compulsions feat and the +2 from the PHB, making +6 which should do ok... Anyways, you should be all right, your going to kick alot of ace with that set up. |
| allenchan04-03-05, 01:14 AM | Agreed. Barb 2 / FIghter 4/ XXX Always take all ten levels of FB |
| HiQKid04-04-05, 10:16 PM | A couple of things... First, in bear form, can I use weapons, or does the transformation mess with my hands... Second, I'm not worried about the whole frenzy thing... my partys okay with that. I've been party fireballed twice and fell animate magic missiled by a party member once (It was nice though, I retained control and got lot's of bonus's.) Actually, I'm not two attached to uncanny dodge... Anyways, Barb1/Fighter4/FB10/Bear Warrior5? That gives me another feat, and I wanted to fit leap attack in anyway... Combat brute + shock trooper + FB10 + leap attack = really low ac, good accruacy, and for every one I subtract from AC, I get +20 to damage... :) Do the math... -20 to ac * 20 = 400 Damage. |
| Marcus Majarra04-04-05, 10:40 PM | You're going a bit overboard with that damage bonus. Combat Brute doesn't give you additional Power Attack damage. It's listed as simply bonus damage, and therefore does not improve on either Supreme Power Attack or Leap Attack. As such, it merely adds three times your BAB in bonus damage with a two-handed weapon. With Supreme Power Attack and Leap Attack included, that's an overall 15-to-1 ratio, for a maximum of 300 bonus damage, not 400. |

| ShiverTheBard04-04-05, 11:22 PM | I would take the Bear Warrior levels as soon as possible to maximize your usefulness in Bear Form. If you can do that, grab Multiattack and Imporved Natural Attack for your claws to dish out more damage. If you can deal with never deviating from Chaotic Good, there is a feat in the Book of Exalted Deeds called Righteous Rage, this allows you to distinguish allies from enemies, deal nonlethal damage, and show mercy if you so decide. As well, your first hit on an evil character in an encounter forces them to make a Will Save (10+1/2 Level+Cha Mod) or be shaken. If they make their save, their fine unless they have another encounter later with you. |
| HiQKid04-05-05, 06:59 PM | Well, then... I might want to drop bear warrior... Easier that way, anyhow... Barb4/Fighter6/FB10 Power Attack , Destructive Rage , Cleave , Imp Sunder , Intimidating Rage , Imp Bull Rush , Combat Expertise , Shock Trooper , Imp Trip , Combat Brute , Leap Attack... And imp crit, or extra rage, or instantaneous rage... or some other feat... |
| Zodd188804-05-05, 08:26 PM | If you can use UA dont take fighter to 6 take it to 4 and get Warrior Generic Class (in UA) for the 2 featsin 2 levels so it'll look like this: Barb 4/Fighter 4/ Warrior 2/ FB 10 Giving you alot of feats to play with. |
| PsionicRanger04-05-05, 08:55 PM | I will interject something here about the warrior "core class" it is stated in UA that it is not suggested to play those "generic" classes if everyone else in the party is playing core PHB classes meaning this: that they weren't originally intended to multi-class with core classes. However, DND is your game so do what you want, just wanted you to know how Wizard's rules in that scenario. |
