Barb./Fighter Help [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-12-04, 10:40 PM I have a human character in Living Greyhawk, who is currently Barb. 2/ Fighter 1. His atttributes (28 point buy) are:

Str: 16
Int.: 8
Wis: 14
Dex: 14
Con: 14
Chr: 8

His current feats are: Weapon Focus (greatsword), Power attack, Cleave, and Extra Rage. I want to build a front-line combat high damage dealer. I was leaning toward Pious Templar (Kord), but wanted other thoughts on if this was the best choice.
Living Greyhawk allows most PC classes in CW (except the Frenzied Beserker and Hulking Hurler), CD and the DMG, but nothing else. I want to concentrate on 12 level builds, since LG normal play will only go to 15th level. The options I was thinking of are:

1. Barb2/FIghter4/Pious Templar6+

2. Barb10+/Fight.2

3. Barb2/Fight2/Cleric8+

4. Barb3/Fight4/Bear Warrior5+

I am open to better suggestions. For feats, I wanted to take Improved Toughness, and maybe Combat Reflexes, then eventually Close Quarters Fighting.

Your thoughts are appreciated,

07-15-04, 01:05 AM 2nd Try - anyone have any helpful hints?? Whats the more effective build - Templar? Bear Warrior (maybe with war shaper levels)? Straight Fighter?
