Just wondering what do you folks think has more flavour

A dwarf barbarian who weilds a oversized greatculb, which he refers to as a tree trunk (of course he would have to have monkey grip), or a Human barbarian who weilds a set of boomerangs and/or a maul

Dwarf! DWARF!

A human wielding boomerangs and a maul sounds "neat, but somewhat gimmicky." A dwarf wielding an oversized greatclub that he bludgeons people to death as he transforms into four feet of fury? Now THAT sounds like fun flavor to me!

From an optimization stand point, a Dwarf Barbarian with a Great Club will rule. Take Three Mountain Style and feats that synergize with its feat requirements and you should be golden.

Human Maul Boomerrang doesn't ring any optimization bells in my head. And it seems a bit silly aswell. Downunder-hammerman?

Yeah, I guess the human type was a bit off. Thanks

On a different note, Any ideas why a Gnome would become a barbarian? Someone asked me this and I really couldn't think of any reasons but then I thought that a gnome barbarian would really unique. You give the little guy some crazy weapons like barb bolas or blowguns (prehaps swapping out the gnome hooked hammer pref. with these) add some poison and make him really snarly and you have a decent close line fighter with ranged weapons. Not to great but not to bad.
