Frenzied Berserker is popular but generally a party killer unless you either a) Build around Will saves, b) Use Steadfast Determination (really a cheesy version of a.) or c) Use Iron Heart Surge.

There are plenty of other good PrCs, though: Runescarred Berserker, Champion of Gwynarrf are two good ones.

Biggest mistake I see barbarian players make is neglecting mental stats. They've got too good a skill list to waste with a low Int, and a strong Cha can help with abilities like Dreadful Wrath.
