| Drag0nUL02-13-07, 04:02 AM | I am about to start playing in a lvl. 1 campaign. The build I have in mind is barbarian 1/sorcerer 6/rage mage 10/abjurant champion 3. The caster part being a sorc I won't have access to many spells, so I'd have to choose carefully. I made a list of spells that I think are must-have(listed in the order of importance)and when I plan to get them(Sx means x lvl of sorc and Rmx x lvl. of rage mage). Lvl 1 Shield(s1) True strike(s1) Magic Missile(s3) Feather fall(s4) Enlarge person(Rm2) Lvl 2 Invisibility(s4) Scorching ray(s5) Bull's strength(Rm2) Lvl 3 Fireball(s6) Haste(Rm2) Fly(Rm6) Heroism/Dispel magic(Rm10) Lvl 4 Greater invisibility(Rm4) I would be grateful if people with some more insight on playing gish builds would take a look at this list and give me some suggestions. Allowed books: PHB/PHB II/Any Complete/Spell Compendium. Anything else has to be approved by the DM first. |

A quick and simple build would be barbarian1/fighter1/sorcerer4/spellsword1/abjurantchampion5/sacredexorcist8 for 16 BAB, 18 CL for 9th level spells, and turning so you can take advantage of divine feats like divine might and divine vigor. For spells I'd avoid any direct damage spells and focus more on buff and utility spells. |

My DM will(hopefully) agree to let me go spellsword without the heavy armor prof.(1 barbarian lvl. fits the character's theme much better but I can replace it for fighter anytime). So how does this look like now? |
