what do you all think about a character like that

my DM has approved of it (even tho both prestiege classes require a minimum BAB of +6, my DM is ruling it thwe same way FEATS are ruled, u may take it the exact time u would meat the minimum requirments for it)

any recamendationg for change? im pretty set on that build but im up for a change if it wont effect it to much. currently i have 3 levels in barbarian.

heres the character in question:

Half-Orc Barbarian3
STR 20,
DEX 16
CON 17,
INT 6,
WIS 10,
CHA 8

weilding a Great Axe and wearing Breast Plate armor
he also has a Mighty Compostie Longbow with a 5 STR bonus
he has the feat Power Attack and his alightment is CE.

hes 7' 290lbs with blood red eyes and green hair and green skin. hes almost all hair tho and because of that he has a Natural Armor bonus of +1 (i have an awesome and very creative DM)

12-28-04, 11:15 PM What made you go with eye of gruumsh PrC? I think the frenzied beserker should be atleast before the gruumsh PrC. The eye of gruumsh I guess is for flavor, but the frenzied berserker is a grea and very powerful PrC.

I would go with this build myself. Fighter 2 levels then barbarian 1 level at third and take destructive rage to meet the frenzied reqs. Then go back to fighter for 2 more levels to grab all the feats you can then make the jump to FB.

Just my 2 cents

I agree 100% with you on this. I honestly cant see taking eye of gruumsh levels at all over the FB.

12-29-04, 02:15 AM i dont like the FB after level 5.. some of the stuff i find useless after level 5.
and Eye of Gruumsh i want all 10 levels of, nothing is changing there, currentyl i have 3 levels in barbarian, and 100 XP to go from hitting level 4, im simply asking if i should keep with the barbarian, then take the eye levels, and what to do after i get all 10 levels of the gruumsh in.

12-29-04, 02:41 AM Go with a Goliath Barbarian instead, and take the goliath barbarian racial substitution level and reckless rage as your first level feat. When you rage you'll go up to STR 30, and you can wield large weapons with no penalty as a goliath.

A) Only one person suggested a build-prefix other than Barbarian 5.

B) Being crude isn't the best way to get anyone to take you seriously.

C) Eye of Gruumsh is not a very good PrC, but I understand you want to take it for flavor reasons. After Barbarian 5/Eye of Gruumsh 10, Frenzied Berserker is always a good choice for Improved Power Attack and Supreme Cleave. If you don't like Frenzied Berserker, then straight Barbarian levels never hurt. A couple of Fighter levels may not be a bad idea either - more feats mean more ways to hurt.

D) The Goliath Barbarian is a Racial substitution level found in Races of Stone. Essentially, you'll have to be a Goliath (which isn't happening because you're already a half-orc) and instead of regular barbarian levels, there are times when you can take a Goliath themed level of barbarian instead.

so your recemending that i keep going till brarby 5, then take the eye levels, then either go with the FB or barby? sounds good, i was gonna take FB for 1 reason... I like the Frenzy ability and the deathless Frenzy, other then that i dont care much for frenzied berserker.

thanks for all your guys help and i apolagize for being a bit rude, i also apolagize for not saying that i was take Eye of Gruumsh for flavor in the 1st place (I also LOVE his abilities).

btw- I'm not a munchkin/power gaming dude at all ;)

12-29-04, 01:15 PM I'd say to toss Frenzied Berserker entirely. Your will save stinks and you'll wind up doing more damage to your comrades than your enemies. It's a great PrC, but you've got to really plan for it if you want to make it work in a party.

What's your other feat? You need EWP and Weapon Focus (Double Axe) for Eye of Gruumsh, and you currently have neither. Half-Orcs don't get Weapon Familiarity with the double axe, remember.

To meet your goals, your next two levels must be fighter for the Axe feats. Then go Eye of Gruumsh and Exotic Weapon Master

Final build:
Bbn3/Ftr2/EyeofGruumsh10/EWM3/X2

Feats:
EWP (double axe)*, WF (double axe)*, Blind Fight* Power Attack, TWF, Cleave, Improved Sunder, Combat Brute, Wolf Bersker Lodge (Unapproachable East), Improved Trip

Exotic Weapon Tricks: Flurry of Strikes, Uncanny Blow, Exotic Sunder.

(Possible substitutions -- Swap Wolf. Berserker/Imp. Trip for Imp. Buckler Defense and one of the caster-killer feats from complete arcane)

EDIT — oops, thought you could qualify for EWM at BAB+5. No dice. So it's Bbn5/Ftr2/EoG10/EWM3 or Bbn3/Ftr4/EoG10/EWM3 (the former is better, I think).

ADDENDUM — A couple Psychic Warrior levels might also help out. Next level, boost your Wisdom to 11 and take 2 PsyWar levels instead of fighter. Powers to consider: Empty Mind (better will save), Force Screen or Vigor.
