| Cytokinesis02-15-06, 03:52 PM | Hello, I am recently entering into a fifth level game and I decided I wanted to try for the first time a bard. Since this is my first time as a bard, I came here for everyone's suggestions and help. First the rules of the game, any WotC book is allowed, and it is 38 point buy. As said it is ECL five. I decided I wanted to do a Human bard and I put my stats out like this (nothing is set in stone yet) Strength: 14 Constitution: 14 Dexterity: 14 Wisdom: 14 Intelligence: 14 Charisma: 15 (+1 from level up to 16) Now as this is my first time as a bard, and I have access to any sources (including campaign books) I am really stumped on what type of feats I should get, I've never played a bard before and I really don't know what works for them. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know your supposed to put a build up for other people to build up from, so please no comments on that, as said I really don't know. |

What style of a bard are you looking for? What's your party like? And have you looked at the 3.5 Bard thread in the Optimization Library? Key feats: Melee Bard: Snowflake Wardance (frostburn), Song of the Heart (eberron) and Possibly Devoted Performer (Cadv.), Power Attack and Divine Might for the Paladin/Bard combo or Expertise/WF for War Chanter. Extra Song, as well. Spellcasting Bard: Lyric Spell, Spell Focus, Extra Song, Enchanting Song, Subsonics |
