| Erevis Cale11-04-04, 07:42 PM | I'll be starting in a new campaign soon and would like to play an elf bard/spellsinger. I'll be beginning play at about 6th level. What interesting Bard builds could I make with this? I'm not too familiar with Complete Arcane yet, but I heard there were some new prestige classes in there as well. If you could shed some light on them I'd be much obliged, it may influence me to buy the book :P Anyhow, all build ideas are welcome, I'll compare and contrast them as I still have some time to think about it. Thank you all! |

| scrollreader11-04-04, 11:27 PM | Well, what kind of bard do you want? A musical Effects Bard will probably be a virtuoso or yes, spellsinger. A battlebard will go for one of the full BAB, music progressions, without spells. A spellcastign bard mightnot even be a bard at all! Look in the build FAQ for more details, and in the Excellent Bard's Handbook. |
| Biota Bondo11-05-04, 01:39 AM | There is a bard build thread here: Mucknuggle's The 3.5 Bard Thread http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=67002 Complete Arcane isn't out quite yet (or at least Amazon says it is coming out on November 30th), so I'm not too familiar with it either. There is a bard variant in Unearthed Arcana called Bardic Sage that gets some bonuses to spell casting in the form of one additional known divination spell per per level, some additional divination spells to the bard spell list, +2 to bardic lore, good will save only, slightly weaker bard song. |

If you check the news section on the main page, you will see a top 10 list that describes 2 new Bard PrCs in the upcoming Complete Arcane. One of them has access to 9th level spells. As a Bard player I am very excited about that. |

| scrollreader11-05-04, 08:40 AM | Oy. I can see the Bard Prc/Ur Priest/Mystic Theurge builds now. Looks like the Nar Demonbinder may have some competition. :P |
| Erevis Cale11-08-04, 10:01 PM | Haha yes, I noticed that bard prestige class in the top ten list as well, that's why I was inquiring about it ;) How could I resist? Oh well, I suppose I'll have to wait in order to see that in action. It would be nice to deviate from the typical bard/virtuoso build! |
| Sang-Drax11-09-04, 09:04 AM | I personally don't like the virtuoso features. But I can forsse the Bard PrC/Spellsword gish. Now *that* could be fun. |
| Erevis Cale11-09-04, 05:57 PM | Sang-Drax, now that's just scary! :P What do you all think of Stormsinger? I checked out Frostburn and this prestige class seems like a breath of fresh air. |
| Caelic11-09-04, 08:45 PM | Stormsinger, from Frostburn. Full caster progression, plus bardic abilities that are outright broken. (Thunderclap, anyone?) |
| Skyrocket11-09-04, 09:31 PM | Words of Creation. :ayyyy!: |
