I'm working on a lvl 2 bard and just rolled for abilities:

17,15,13,12,10,10

I could use some tips on how to assign and modify the scores by subtracting 2 and adding 1 to another score and I'm also still looking for a suiting race... (monster races with +1 lvl adjustment can be used, I tought of Aasimar maybe...)

Thanks in advance for any help...

if u are relly compulsed to be a bard try a lesser aasimar: all the benefits of the standard one at +0 LA but u are not an outsider

Thanks, but doens't it lose any special abilities for not being outsider?

And if not, what is the big advantage of being outsider that gives the Aasimar a +1 LA?

I would suggest Words of Creation (Book of Exalted Deeds), and a really nice guy personality. WoC doubles your bardic sining benefits, but you'll take some subdual damage when you use it.

Lesser Aasimar are nice, as are Star Elves (both are FR specific). I also like gnome or halfling for a bard, because you don't really want to be in melee, and your size will help you with AC and ranged attacks.

If your group allows Dragon Magazine, be a dwarven follower of Moradin (one of the FR dwarves doesn't lose Cha). Then take the Memory Smith PrC. You'll have a higher bab, better saves, more spells known (from a specific list, mostly divine buffs), and your music and lore will continue to advance.

The PrC is either too strong or close to it in an FR campaign because being a dwarf becomes a non-issue for a bard. But even for a normal dwarf with -2 Cha the benefits you get are worth it IMO. You'll go from being primarily support to being able to both support and buff yourself. They are almost as good as a cleric in melee, but don't have Righteous Might.

For scores: do you want to be ranged or melee?

Lesser Aasimar lose the benefits that all outsiders get (can't be targetted with humanoid specific spells). Other than that there is no loss of ability.

well u are a humanoid for all the charm/sleep etc stuff
u are an outsider for all the banish/protecion from evil etc stuff
u cannot polymorph in otsider juicy stuff

i really think that's quite good

ranged for sure... thanks again but I've only got acces to the core rulebooks :(

A small sized lesser aasimar would be the best  but I guess I'll have to discuss that with my DM

Nothing like a Gold Dwarf Bard with a waraxe... :)
