| Riznar01-13-05, 06:33 PM | Is this passable? Or have I overextended myself? Human Brd7/Ftr1/Eldritch Knight1/Tempest4/Sublime Chord2/Eldritch Knight2-6 Human 1 Dodge 1 Able Learner (Races of Destiny) 3 TWF 6 Mobility 8 ITWF 9 Spring Attack 9 Arcane Strike (Complete Warrior) 12 Snowflake Wardance (Frostburn) 15 GTWF 18 Practised Spellcaster 9th Level Bardic Music 14th Level Sor/Bard casting at caster level 18 +17 Base Attack Bonus Two Weapon Fighting at no penalty Saves: +12/+7/+10 The last 3 feats art exchangable with things like Extra Bardic Music abd Oversized TWF (For 2 whips) |
| Dain01-13-05, 10:43 PM | Arcane Strike is highly suboptimal when doing TWF. You have to spend a spell for each of your weapons = 2 spells per round of arcane striking. You'll run out of spells quicker than you can say "Shiver Me Timbers". Plus, with that build you're going to suck so badly you'll feel ashamed for the first, say 15 levels. - Dain |
| Snicker-Snack01-13-05, 11:58 PM | If you really want to TWF with a Bard, try to take one level of Soldier of light (ar any other class that gives you turning) and Divine Might, it will help a lot. Words of Creation for twice the bonus of Inspire Courage would help too. Also, remember that you can't cast spells with somatic components when both of your hands are occupied... if you want to use spells in middle of combat, you will have to waste a feat on EWP [claw bracer] or [blade boots] or something similar. |
| Dain01-14-05, 07:31 AM | I think Snow's best bet on a Bard 2-weapon Fighter was Bard 16/Fighter 2/Soldier of light 2 (not in that order) using some strange exotic weapon in each hand. It can obviously be done without the strange exotic weapon, but same build. It's all good, cause you get to keep your skills and spells (CL 20 with Practiced Spellcaster). |
| Shadowbane01-14-05, 12:16 PM | First off, can you use the prestige bard from the UA? I made a bard like this Human Swashbuckler3/wiz2/PrCBard the rest feats: 1st: Two weapon fighting, Weapon focus rapier 3nd: Combat expertise 6rd: Improved toughness 9th: practiced spell caster 12th: Improved TWF 15th: Improved feint 18th: ???? I dual wield rapiers and we are allowed the rapier in the offhand as a light weapon. The swashbuckler levels grant you weapon finesse and insightful strike allowing you to use your intel mod and strength to calculate damage. With a very high intel I have a tremendous amount of skills. |
