Bard with Pistols [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-19-06, 04:56 PM I'm trying to mini-max a bard using pistols. The concept is that he has 2 hirelings who simply hang back from him. He uses his stand. action to fire the pistols and his move action to hand his hirelings the pistols, they use their standard action to load the pistols and their move action to hand him his guns back.

I went with bard because i gave him perform sing, thus allowing him to use bardic music while fighting.

GM approved: My GM has said that with TWF, I can use dual pistols at -2/-2.

I'd like to maximize this bard as much as possible, but not sure how. Should I go a different class maybe, or is there a PRC out there that may work. The only thing I require is that he still have a high amount of skill points, regardless of what class.

I have a "great" build, 34 pt. build with all stats starting at 10. I'd like a 20 level build with him, starting at 5th, with any race with LA 0.

Books allowed: All The Completes, All the Races, Frostburn, Sandstorm, Stormwracked, Heroes of Battle, Arms and Equipment Guide, Expanded Psionics, Draconomicon, Miniatures Handbook, Planar Handbook, Libris Mortis,

07-19-06, 05:32 PM A bard would barely get enough feats to qualify.. And tempest isnt that good imo. I kinda like warchanter for combat-bards. Bard8/marshal2/warchanter10 or something like that will get you and your party some nice damage bonus. Be a half-elf and take racial sub level for bard to get some diplomacy cheese too.

Yes, I did look at it, but the loss of skills is hard.
