im putting together a bard character, and i wondered if anyone has tried adding the mage of the arcane order prestige class to it.
this seemsPR allmost perfect for a 2-3 level dip into for access to spells a bard either doesnt have access to, or spell he wouldnt normally take.
the three feats the bard would need is coopertive spell and arcane preparation, plus one other metamagic feat. but what metamagic feat would be good to have?
anyways, thanks for the advice :)

Extend Spell would be nice, though I question the use of MotAO with the Bard base class. Why not use a Rogue/Sorcerer/Prestige Bard (from Unearthed Arcana)/MotAO build?

Because going with the bard levels nets you more levels of bardic song. Look at it this way: one build gives you better bardic music, the other gives you better arcane casting.

The primary purpose of MotAO is to improve your arcane casting. Sorta forgot that Bards have Songs, somewhere along the way. I guess I don't yet have the mindset required to properly play a Bard.
