DwarvinJedi 07-20-05, 02:19 AM	One of the many ways to get 9th level spells in DIvine and Arcane(of course the Divine ones are very limited) Human Bard 7/AoP 2/MT 1/Sublime Chord 1/MT 9 BAB 11 Saves Fort +8, Ref +11, Will +17 CL: 18 Arcane(maybe 27), Divine 16(maybe only 11, maybe 21) not very good Bardic Music Basic build: need more feats Human Bard 7/Apostle of Peace 2/Sublime Chord 1/ Mystic Thergue 10 1- Bard: Sacred Vow, Vow of Poverty(maybe take a flaw for Able learner) 2- Bard: Vow of Nonviolence 3- Bard: Vow of Peace 4- Bard: (Exalted Feat) 5- Bard: 6- Bard: (Feat), (Exalted Feat) 7- Bard: 8- Apostle of Peace: (Exalted Feat) 9- Apostle of Peace: Open Minded 10- Mystic Thergue(I might not be able to get the skills for Sublime Chord)- (Exalted Feat) - AoP & Bard 11- Sublime Chord 12- Mystic Thergue: (Feat), (Exalted Feat)- Sublime Chord & AoP 13-20 Mystic Thergue-Applied to AoP and Sublime Chord (levels 15 & 18 feats open, also level 14, 16, 18 & 20 open Exalted feats) There might be a few holes in it, I probably could use Sorcerer instead of Bard EDIT: I forgot, I only need 9(8 if I get anotehr level of Sublime Chord casting) levels of Mystic Thergue so can replace level 10 with something else(Bard or Rogue Preferably) also I could replace another level of Mystic thergue with an arcane progression class level(or just another Sublime chord level) References: Bard: PHB Apostle of Peace, and all Vows: BoED Open Minded: XPH Mystic Thergue: DMG Sublime Chord: CA

Since it isn't, let's see if I can remember it: Bard 1/Wizard 5/Sorceror 1/Wu Jen 1/AoP 2/Sublime Chord 2/MT 8 Practiced Spellcaster for Wizard and Sublime Chord Because of the unique dynamics of Sublime Chord (add your levels in SC and one arcane class together, and use that level for SC and other arcane classes) and Apostle of Peace (AoP + 1/2 caster level in other classes,) your caster levels break down like this: Wizard: 20 Sublime Chord: 20 Bard: 20 Wu Jen: 20 Sorceror: 20 AoP: 60 Now, if you don't want something quite that cheesy, I'd recommend this: Bard 8/AoP2/Sublime Chord 2/MT 8 Again, Practiced Spellcaster for Bard, bringing your overall caster levels to: Bard 20, SC 20, AoP 30. You want second level in AoP for the phenomenal calming ability, and you wans second level in Sublime Chord for Song of Arcane Power.

The second one is more of what I was going for. Thanks. My biggest problem is somehow figuring out why this chracter pursues AoP AND SC, and getting the DM to approve it.

Welcome to Woodstock, dude. :) The Ur-Singer was my first try at abusing this, but it doesn't quite work--the Ur-Priest calculates caster level based on class levels, not caster levels. The AoP is the only class it'll work with.
OoX Sam I Am XoO 07-20-05, 01:47 PM	The Apostle of the Chord that I play is a half elf, taking the half elf bard level for the EXTRA hippie-ness. Having max ranks in diplomacy, with a high enough charisma and bonuses from feats, you can make BALORS chill out.
