So stand up comedian it is, until he finds out he is even better at satire, and has a tendency to insult the wrong people at most turns. So he spends a lot of time getting kicked ut of inns, and sneaking back in as someone else, or jsut being someone else when his face gets to be too well known in an area. Enter Chameleon. Running into an actual Chameleon got him interested in it for about a year, being new people was even easier, and with the new abilities he had even more opportunities for his mouth to get him into trouble. Until he finally starteed to grow up and appreciate the innate magic of a performance, and a perfect note. Enter Sublime Chord Character creation 32 point buy 2 free class skills (Basically two cosmopolitan feats without the +2) Levels Bard 1st-7th Chameleon 8th-14th Sublime 15th-21st Stats Str 14 Int 1４（Raised to 16 with a book) Wis 14 (Raised to 16 with a book) Dex 14 Con 14 Char 14 (Raised to 30 with Book+5 Leveling+5 cloak+6) Skills Perform 24 concentration 15 Bluff 10 Disguise 10 Sense motrive 4 Listen 13 Disable device 24 (Free class skill) Open locks24 (free class skill) Search 24 (Cosmopolitan feat) Spellcraft 10 Know-arcane 13 Prof aStrology 6 Use magic device 10 Yes, points are incredibly tight on this character. Feats 1 able learner 1 Cosmopolitan- search 3 Jack of all trades 6 Versatile performer 9 Practiced spellcaster 12 15 18 21 Daily Feat from Cahmeleon: So with the Chameleon double aptitude, he will be a rogue/????? everyday (Probably cleric most often) Teh +4 to all saves is nice, and he must have the trapfinding. The feat and the +4 to an ability score will vary quite a bit. So, anyone have good suggestions? WOTC only please.

I'd even retool the concept background a bit because I just can't see gaining seven Chameleon levels in the time described as "for about a year." Oh well, that's a topic for another forum. One thing that should be mentioned: Cosmopolitan doesn't work the way you think it does anymore. It just makes several specific skills class skills. Skills you already get as a bard. And even if you use the 3.0 version I think that's not an optimized use of the feat. Why do you need high ranks in Search so badly? Especially since you'll have to be splitting this with all the other skills you're expected to use socially as a bard, and all the skills you'll need to pull off a realistic Chameleon class impersonation. I mean, I'm looking at your skill list and it's not bad but . . . no tumble? Jack of all Trades is nice if you're trying to be really focused in your skill spending so there are lots of skills you have no ranks in. Then you also want good ability scores to compensate for your lack of ranks. However, and I've pointed this out to people before, if you're being focused as a Chameleon then you've missed the whole point! Why not spread a few skill points out, one rank each, to all skills you can't attempt untrained, except profession. Boom, you have another free feat at the cost of just a half dozen skill points. Besides, you said your character hates work. Seven levels of Chameleon isn't a bad jump off point but only if you really have something solid you're going to. As it is, I think you're entering Sublime Chord too late. You're getting those spells well after they're the most effective, and you still don't get the really high level ones. Plus, as a 21st level character with Sublime Chord levels you're an epic character that should be trying to qualify for epic spellcasting but . . . you haven't increased your knowledge (arcana) and you don't have the mastery of spells yet.
