| Scarlet Knight02-15-05, 12:31 AM | I know that seems like a weak character, but I think it would be fun stealty character and would like to try it. How could I make this character as strong as possible? I'm looking for suggestions on how many levels of bard & ranger to take, which feats and spells to choose, and what magic items I should try to aquire. We're starting at second level, and we probably won't play past level 15 or so. His attributes are Strength 13, Dexterity 16, Constitution 12, Intelligence 14, Wisdom 10, Charisma 16. He's an elf, but we're using a slightly different modified version of elves: +2 racial bonus to Hide checks in natural surroundings, +1 to attack rolls with bows and short swords, short sword proficiency, no longsword or rapier proficiency, sleep for eight hours instead of meditating for four, and Bard as Favored Class. All the magic items in the DMG are potentially available, but any feats or spells from outside the core rules must be approved by the DM. I was thinking Bard 4/Ranger 3/Shadowdancer, with Combat Reflexes, Dodge and Mobility to qualify for the prestige class, and Expeditious Retreat, Cure Light Wounds, Alarm, Heroism, and Cat's Grace for spells. I'm not sure if these are the best spells to choose, and am having a hard time deciding which magic items would be good investments. Any help would be much appreciated! :D |
