I started a thread (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=575297) in Classes and after listening to suggestions I decided to now focus more on the feat aspect and general development of my Bard.

I'm already level 3 Bard but I got a special chance to switch my Level 1 feats and level 3.

Let me explain before starting.

I initially rolled 10,12,9,9,7,14.
My DM made me reroll my 9,9,7. I got 12,12,12.
So I had 10,12,12,12,12,14
I was still the lowest of the bunch so I was able to put 3 points in my stats with a maximum of 1 point per stat. So I raised Cha, Int and Dex.

My level 1 started with

Str : 10
Dex : 13
Con : 12
Int : 13
Wiz : 12
Cha : 15

- We don't use lots of multiclassing, it's not the kind of thing we're after.
- I want to be the buffer and decided to go Bard and Seeker of the Song.
- I want to keep those 2 classes only, it fits the kind of character I want to play
- We already have a Cleric, Paladin(sometimes), Ranger, Samurai, Monk, Sorceror and Rogue

So I don't want to get the most powerful Bard ever but since we never played a Bard in all the years we played I'm not really sure about the good feats I could take as a buffer. I don't plan to cast offensive spells much with my low Cha which would always be resisted.

Let me show you what I somehow planned from looking around and listening to people from the other thread.

Level 1 Bard Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot
Level 2 Bard
Level 3 Bard Improve Initiative
Level 4 Bard Cha
Level 5 Bard
Level 6 Bard Lingering Song
Level 7 Bard
Level 8 Bard Cha
Level 9 Bard Skill Focus[Perform](requirement)
Level 10 Bard
Level 11 Seeker
Level 12 Seeker Extra Music(Cadv)(Seeker combines songs so it'll burn fast as well as with the refrains)
Cha

Level 13 Seeker
Level 14 Seeker
Level 15 Seeker Subsonics(Cadv)
Level 16 Seeker Cha
Level 17 Seeker
Level 18 Seeker ??(not decided)
Level 19 Seeker
Level 20 Seeker Cha

Once you start Seeker you can't stop or you won't be able to ever take new levels in it.

1. I'd like to stick with this build but I'm pretty open for feats and where to spend my stat points each 4 levels.

2. I'm already level 3 and I can't change that. So the order in which to take feats between level 1 and 3 doesn't matter.

3. I don't have every books so what are some nice buffs or useful spells for the party?

I know this isn't a challenging optimization but I appreciate any help :)

Words of Creation is a very strong feat if it's available to you. I'm not sure where it's from (Heros of Battle maybe). Disguse Spell from Complete Adventurer is very strong, and I'd pick that up at level 6 and put off lingering song.

The Inspirational boost spell is very nice and will increase the potency of your inspire courage song.

Heroism and greater heroism are relativly cheap for bards, and while they don't stack with inspire courage, they do add to all saves and skill rolls which can be very nice.

Heroics is a very nice buff spell that give a bonus fighter feat.

Be sure to look at the bow for bards in complete adventurer ... the price is too steep for you to afford at your level, but eventually it will be a nice item.

Words of Creation sadly required a Int score of at least 15 ;(

Where is that spell?

Interesting.

Heroics is a very nice buff spell that give a bonus fighter feat.
Again where is that spell from?

I don't see any bows in the weapons section...

Both spells are in the spell compendium. Also for that open feat look at cull wand essence from magic of eberron. For a charge does anywhere from 1d6 to 10d6 with a ranged touch attack no save, spell resistance. Your point blank and precise shot will help with this. The bow I believe is in the special weapons section. I am not a fan of lingering song, I might take ability focus for one of your refrains.
