| TheMrBlack02-02-05, 09:07 AM | I was talking this over with my gm and I 'm not sure if I'm remembering things wrong or he is... Here's my character idea.... Bard 10/Seeker of the Song 2/Sublime Chord 8 + Bard 1- 10 gives me the skill points I'll need for the prestige classes, both of which have rough skill req's 13 ranks in some skills. Seeker 1 - 2 is just long enough to get Combine Songs Sublime 1-8+ for higher level spells. This would work right? concentrating on bardic music and spell castings. Now... here's my question... I remember seeing a feat called Double cast or something that allows you to simaultaneously cast the same spell twice... does this exist or did I hallucinate a feat (which would be new, but not to far fetched.) I think as a class I'd concentrate on what I think bards do best, acting as a jack of all trades back up healer, caster, theif. But no tank, so I'm not concentrating on BAB or anything. I want the best I can do for survivability. Feats for improving bardic abilities, songs, spells, etc. Even saves I'm thinking.... Any ideas? |

The Virtuoso gives you an additional +1 to the bonuses from your bardic music, and may be worth losing 1 caster level, that's your call. |

So that limits the "back up rogue" element at higher levels. - You mention that you want survivability. There are a few ways to increase the survivability aspect, but you have to give up other things. You could drop a level of bard for a level of warrior, then the Battle Caster feat to let you use medium armor with no spell failure chance. Or two battle caster feats to get heavy armor. Alternatively, you could get three levels of hexblade and that would give you Mettle which will help your saves a lot. - I'm a big fan of Lyric Spell, which lets you use bard music uses for spells. If you want to be a caster, get that and get Extra Music to increase your spell availability. |

By epic, level 21, you would have 9th level arcane spells. Cheers, Zeb |
