Just wondering about the fastest way for an epic bard to get epic spells. (Fewest Epic feats...)

It requires the ability to cast 9th level spells. The obvious way of getting these spells are from Heighten Spell and three levels of Improved Spell Capacity for 7th, 8th and 9th level slots. Heighten spell can be dropped for classes like Troubador of Stars, and a spellslot can be replaced by Improved Metamagic- but is it possible in fewer than four epic feats (ignoring the Incantrix...)

a spellslot can be replaced by Improved Metamagic

i dont think so, the errata for incantatrix was pretty clear with it, you can not use improved metamagic for a spell with an altered level that you wont be able to cast normally.

Bard 15/Eldritch master 6 will get you 9th level spells, if you use Dragon. Bard 15/Eldritch master 9 has 10th level spells and a free epic feat for Epic Spellcasting.

A Bard/Nar demonbinder somewhat fits the criteria.

That would be a definite way in, thanks. Pity I don't have dragon 280.

Also if you take the Bard/EM 9 route, can you use the feat granted as an epic feat?
