Bardic Knack thing? [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-19-07, 11:25 PM I'm sure I'm not the first to noice, but the skill Iaijutsu Focus is usable untrained. A normal character using Cha as a dump stat will have to have good luck to even get one die out of the skill, but a Bard...

With the Bardic Knack feature a Bard at level 1 is considered to have 1 rank in Iaijutsu Focus for purposes of rolling skill checks. Plus a possible +4 due to an 18 Charisma is a +5 that could mean an average of 2d6 extra damage on the first round of combat. At this level that can really swing a battle around.

Perhaps t his could be useful in some way, even at higher levels?

02-20-07, 03:15 AM I agree. Neat, and it makes a bard a little more combat able. It made my DM laugh, at least, in a good way. :)
