| Korval01-30-05, 03:04 AM | Hi everyone, I have a Rakshasa, Naztharune as player and his class is level 1 monk. One of my racial ability is to give +11 base attack. My monk, +1 base attack. If the base attack stack, that give me +12 to base attack and my attack is: +12/+7/+5. And for flury of blow, is +10/+10/+5. Or +12 (because I have only one attack with my class) and +10/+10?. Because i'm only lvl 1 class but with +11 racial bonus attack, i'm not sure. Another question in same style: Warrior lvl 10, Barbarian lvl 10. Warriror: +10/+5, Barbarian: +10/+5. Attack becomes +20/+10 or +20/+15/+10/+5 ? I'm not sure... Another question: unarmed strike deal only the damage of 1d6 or I add my str bonus to damage? My "hands" doesn't masterwork so... I don't know :s Last question: if a base attack reach +30 for warrior, this is +30/+25/+20/+15/+10/+5 or max attack per round is 4 and 6 for greater flury of blow? Thanks in advance :) Korval |

Your Racial BAB and Monk BAB would stack, and assuming your numbers are correct, you would have a BAB of 12. Thats 12/7/2 for iterative attacks, or 10/10/5/0 with flurry of blows. Each dealing 1d6+str mod. damage. Beginning at 20 Hit Die, you begin using Epic Base Attack bonus and Epic Saving throws, which progress at +1 per 2 levels. You can never have more than 4 total attacks from BAB alone, though things like Haste, Flurry of Blows, and Multi/two-weapon fighting can give you more. Therefore a level 30 fighter would have a BAB of 25/20/15/10 and saves of Fort +17/ Ref +11/ Will +11. If he happened to have greater flurry of blows that would be at 25/25/20/15/10. If your still puzzled try reading the SRD. You can find a nice online version with hand hyper-links here (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/sovelior_sage/home.html). |

A Warrior10/bbn10 has a attack progression of +20/+15/+10/+5, though it's a mystery why any PC would take 10 levels of warrior when they can take a more useful class. However, in your first example you have made a mistake. Monk1 has a BAB of +0. So assuming your Rakshasa has a BAB of +11, that's your total BAB. You do apply your strength bonus (or penalty) to melee attack damage, so your unarmed damage is 1d6+Str modifier. (You'd be better off fighting with a weapon, by the way, because a Rakshasa Monk1 (even the subspecies you're using, I think) is the equivalent of a level 10-13 character -- can't remember the details, but a standard Rakshasa has an ECL of +14. The monsters will laugh at you if that's all you're hitting them with. |
