i just picked up the Prince of Persia T2T and after becoming quickly addicted, i really want to make a character like him for a small high-level game i'll be playing in a few weeks. now this game is the only prince of persia game i have played so my insight to the character is limited. i'm not so much concerned about the time powers as i am about the prince himself. here is what i have so far:

male human
scout or rogue 10/ thief-acrobat 4/ fighter 6

Str 16
Dex 22 (5 lvl adjustments)
Con 13
Int 16
Wis 13
Cha 11

now i have two sets of skills here but my dillema is whether to give him scout or rogue levels. 10 levels of scout would be my first choice, which would give me: skirmish (+3d6, +2 AC), blindsense 30 ft, 2 bonus feats, fast movement +10 ft, trapfinding, uncanny dodge, battle fortitude +1, trackless step, evasion, flawless stride, camoflage and 8 skill points per level

or, 10 levels of rogue, which gets me: sneak attack +5d6, trap sense +3, improved uncanny dodge, evasion, one special ability, and 8 skill points per level

with either class i can make the prereqs for thief acrobat. if i take scout, i would lose access to UMD and sneak attack (which is more useful overall compared to skirmish)

feats as a scout: 4 fighter, 1 human, 7 universal and 2 scout:
PHB: wpn fin, wpn foc, wpn spc, impr crit, dodge, mobility, spring attack, impr init
PHB2: bounding assault, combat tactician, leap of the heavens
XPH: wild talent, speed of thought, up the walls

feats as a rogue: 4 fighter, 1 human, 7 universal
PHB: wpn fin, wpn foc, wpn spc, dodge, mobility, spring attack, impr init
PHB2: bounding assault, leap of the heavens
XPH: wild talent, speed of thought, up the walls

i'll post exact skills after i decide between rogue or scout, but either way it will be max ranks in balance, climb, jump, tumble and move silently, with plenty of ranks in concentration to make use of the psionic feats

i leave this at the whim of the boards. if you have more insight about the prince of persia that you deem relevant please let me know

Dervish, dervish, dervish, maybe a 3 level drop in swashbuckler. Scout over rogue.

hmmm, thanks for the pointer to the swashbuckler, a 3 level dip compliments the whole thing nicely. as far as the dervish goes, after 7 levels of scout i can meet the BAB prereq, or i can do scout 4/ swashbuckler3. only thing is, there is a 20 level cap on the character, so how many levels of dervish would you recommend?

my thoughts are that i'd really like to keep the four levels of theif acrobat i have, so in order to qualify for that i need 5 levels of scout to get evasion. so the build would then look like this: scout 5/ swashbuckler 3/ theif acrobat 4. that leaves me with 8 levels to play with.

if i go into dervish, i need some fom of TWF, so i could grab two levels of ranger or fighter to meet that, leaving me with 6 levels

so do i take six levels of dervish? or take 2 more levels of fighter to snag another feat and then add 4 levels of dervish? opinions?

after computing a bit, if i changed my build to scout 5/ swashbuckler 3/ thief acrobat 4/ fighter 4/ dervish 4 i get two of my feats i wanted for free (wpn fin and spring attack) which still lets me have all the feats i picked out in the first option. also gives me 178 total skill points which is a drop from the 238 i'd get from my first build, but i think its balanced out by the greater combat capabilities
