I made a topic on this a few days ago, but didn't get much response, so I'm trying again. I'm running a character that is a home-brew race(Saurus from Warhammer), and I want him to be a shield basher. He also wields a bastard sword, which I plan on using for my signature kensai weapon. The problem I have is how to fully develop him. I've got Fighter 4/Paragon 3/Kensai 10 so far, but I don't know what to give him for the last 3 levels. The fighter levels have already been taken for weapon specialization, so they probably can't change.

The Paragon class gives full BAB, good Fortitude saves, +4 to Intimidate, +1 to natural armor, and +2 to Con.

For feats, I have an extra beacuse I took the Pathetic flaw. two home-brew, Power Attack, EWP(Bastard Sword), and Weapon Focus/Weapon Specialization(Bastard Sword). I'm hoping to be able to replace Power Attack with Shield Specialization so I can shield bash earlier, and see if I can take the Shaky flaw so I can shield bash when I get to level 6(taking Improved Shield Bash and Agile Shield Fighter). If that works out, I still have 3 feats to play with, after taking Power Attack later.

So what I need help with are the last 3 levels(any PrC that might fit well?), and 3 feats.

question: why bother with the shield? Unless its pretty darn vital to the character concept, you're better off just going THF. if you've already picked up Weapon Specialization, its clear that your focus is your weapon (well Kensai, duh). wielding a shield may give you more combat options, but in the end, it'll just limit your damage output.

Yeah, the shield bash is important to my character concept. Saurus in Warhammer fight with their entire body(weapon, shield, bite), and I'm trying to replicate that. I'm looking for the shield type that does slashing damage, so that I can get benefits from Melee Weapon Mastery on all my damage.
