Since my character got axed last week(pretty heavy duty campaign) I am making a new character based on what I read in the barbarian 3.5 thread. We roll 3 sets of 6 times 4d6, drop lowest.

My (pretty incredible) stats are as follows:
18, 16, 15, 15, 13, 12

I was thinking (unadjusted)
str 18
dex 15
con 16
int 12
wis 15
cha 13

I am starting this character off at level 6 and I am in doubt what the best base is to take, either go:

fighter 2/ barbarian 3 for the extra feats Or
ranger 3/ barbarian 2 for skill points, track fav enemy and weapon style.

And then go battlerager 5 and follow it up with frenzied berserker from level 11 and up.

Based on what I read in the barb thread with the improved unarmed strike a battlerager could TWF while wielding a two handed weapon with IUS. But he only has the TWF feat if he wears light or no armor.
Considering the ac penalties a barbarian already gets I am wondering if that TWF is worth the effort of trying to get a great light armor or have a lower AC.
Or that I should just go for fighter 2 barb 3 for a couple of extra feats.

Opinions please,

05-29-04, 05:44 AM I would go Fighter 2/Barbarian 2/Ranger 1 and would let TWF out of the door.

But most of my Dwarfen Barbarians where in (admantium) Fullplate, so i wouldn´t be able to use the Combat Style anyway...

05-29-04, 05:47 AM Oh, and i think the 18 would be better in Con than in Str. You then get 20 Con on level one and if your first level is Barb you start with 17 HP. Not too bad :D. Plus it is one extra round raging...

However I disagree with you about putting the 18 in con. Putting the 16 there will get it boosted up to 18 after racial adjustment and having 18 in str gives me a lot better damage potential on using power attack with a 2hander.

I think ill go with the fighter 2 barb 2 ranger 1 setup unless I decide to value that +1 will from 3rd level barb over all that and got for fgh2/brb 3.

I can always take TWF with one of the fighter feats and then I dont have to worry about him having to wear light or no armor.
