BBEG (blackguard/Nar Demonbinder) [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-15-04, 12:19 PM Ok, so I've been trying to think of a good way to use Nar Demonbinder and I think I have a plan.

Paladin 11
Fallen from Grace, turn into Blackguard 10, Ex-Paladin 1.
This gives you 4th level spells, including summons. You also get +CHA to saves, 11BAB and a bunch of smite good

Then pick up Nar Demonbinder 1

Then I'm not sure where to go. Obviously I could just continue in Demonbinder (good for spells, not good for BAB).

Any assistance? Thanks!

02-15-04, 12:51 PM Hmm... I saw a build very recently using Blackguard and Nar Demonbinder together that was good. I think it might have been Snow's. When the search functions are back up, I'd try searching for it. I think it was pretty cool, but I don't remember what the thread title was.

02-15-04, 01:23 PM The general strategy with making a ND with fighting ability is to take one level, then take a PrC that advances casting and has good BAB. You can go straight Eldritch Knight, or take a one-level dip in Spellsword, Dragonslayer, and/or even Bladesinger. Another trick is to take Dragon Disciple once you max out your ND caster progression.
