Ur-Priest (Complete Divine) 2 makes a good lead-in to Mystic Theurge, and gets you 9th level divine spells instead of 8th, where you're currently at. Choose all the required skills as class skills for Human Paragon Wiz 1: Iron Will, Spell Focus (Evil) Wiz 1/Human Paragon 1: Great Fortitude Wiz 1/HP 2: Wiz 1/HP 3 (At this point, you have 2nd level Arcane for MyTh) Wiz 2/HP 3 (Here, you have 8 ranks in the skills needed for Ur-Priest) Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 1 Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 2 (You now have 2nd level divine spells) Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 1 Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 2 Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 3 Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 4 Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 5 Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 6 Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 7 (At this point, you have 9th level divine spells) Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 8 Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 9 Wiz 2/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 10 Wiz 3/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 10 Wiz 4/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 10 Wiz 5/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 10 Wiz 6/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 10 Wiz 7/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 10 Wiz 8/HP 3/UrP 2/MyTh 10 At 23rd level you have caster level 20 Arcane, 13 in Divine. Practiced Spellcaster will bring that to 17, when applied to Ur-Priest. Because you can cast 9th level spells in both classes, take Epic Spellcasting in place of Subdual Substitution, make sure knowledge (religion) and (arcana) are maxed out, and get four epic spells a day. Then head over to the Epic boards and check out the Discount Epic Spell thread for some ideas. You end up losing Eschew Materials, Arcane Strike, and Forge Ring for the qualifier feats for Ur-Priest, but you get more caster levels in the end. Change the Charisma item to a Wisdom item for more spells. Ideally, spend 100,000 gp and craft a Belt of Magnificence +6 for yourself. +6 to every stat for the same price as the three stat items you have now. Its market price is 200,000 gp, so if you're worried about NPC gold values, then this might not be something to get. I wouldn't use Bracers of Armor. They don't stack with the Robe of the Archmagi, and a shield spell will bring your AC a bit higher than what the bracers give anyway when combined with the robe. Put the money toward an epic spell, an amulet of natural armor, or something else. Maybe an Intelligence or Wisdom book. |
