| Madhattr05-19-04, 10:22 AM | You've got a gnome that goes bear warrior he changes into the black bear and becomes medium does he also gain the +4 str -2 dex +2 con -1 ac That a creature gains when increased in size? Yay gnomish barbarians. -madhattr |
| Funny Slaughter05-19-04, 10:29 AM | please ask your questions on the approbiate board gs Funny |
| Madhattr05-19-04, 12:32 PM | If so then when he goes dire bear you get even more increased strength and con and natural armor and can make the gnomish barbarian a feasable build rather than iconic half-orc barbarian. if so it makes the gnome good for doing a meat shield build as well. I'm not sure where you draw the line between character optimization and not but to me that doesn't seem like roleplaying. I dislike it when non-admins say stuff like that and refuse to help someone. If anyone would like to help me out with this it'd be appreciated thanks, -madhattr |
| Funny Slaughter05-19-04, 12:43 PM | I dislike it when non-admins say stuff like that and refuse to help someone i dislike it when this board is filled with spam and off-topic stuff. you are asking a rules-question about a PrC found in a splatbook so the right place to ask is here (http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=96) but to me that doesn't seem like roleplaying. it is not roleplaying. read the FAQ, this board is about min/max, not explaining things. if you know the rules you can come back and present your build. and just btw: read the description of the bear warrior. (rtfm) does the text state you get a size-bonus? nope. do you get a size-bonus then? nope. why not? because its not in the rules but i get bigger yep and stronger yep but how strong? as strong as the text says not more? nope gs Funny |
| Matrixy05-19-04, 01:26 PM | This post was relevant and brings up something of intrest to the min-max community. Stop being a prick, Funny. And yes, current rules state you DO get the size bonus to strength and constitution. |

Actually Funny slaughter's first response was "please ask your questions on the approbiate board - gs - Funny". Not prickish at all. Of course we all get frustrated after a while from the rules questions et cetera asked on this board and they do have negative impact on the functionality of the board. All those threads do make it harder to find relevant information from the archives. The end result is that after we suggest to people to use search function to find answers to their questions they answer that they cannot find anything with the search because of all the junk threads... and so it goes. | hat12-08-04, 08:58 PM | blah blah blah...come on people this is a hobby. Don't take it so seriously. If it was such a hassle to Funny why did he bother replying at all. Hang on, why did I bother replying...beats me. :P |
| WizO_Autumn12-09-04, 12:08 AM | The link posted is indeed the best place to ask your question. And if you feel a thread doesn't belong, you could let me know and if I agree I'll do something about it. If you feel like responding, then post a link to a board with a suggestion (not a command) that the original poster may get more response there. No need to be snippy. |
