Griftrix 07-24-06, 11:15 AM	i was wondering about the stacking ability of beast claws and the necklace of natural weapons from Savage Species. if i allready have claws, the beast claws will make them +2 and add 1d6 damage to them. will using a necklace of natural weapons also enhance this? i assume that an enhancement bonus granted by the necklace will have no effect, as that is 2 enhancement bonuses from 2 sources, and the greater should apply. but what if i have other weapon properties on it. can i add flaming burst or icy burst to the claws and also have the +2 and 1d6 from the item? are the attacks still natural attacks when you use beast claws, or are they now manufactured weapons? and to be clear, if i want flaming claws on both claw attacks, then it is twice as expensive as 1 claw attack, for purposes of the necklace? i'm allready thinking about getting improved natural attack, and going for the draconomicon rapidstrike feats. i'm thinking about a claw build dragon disciple, adding those full str bonuses to both claws. if you could clear up my questions or offer any advice to my build, that would be great -grift
Necromas 07-24-06, 11:59 AM	Enhancement bonus does not stack with enhancement bonus, but special abilities do. Same reason why if you cast Greater Magic Weapon (+5 enhancement bonus) on a +1 Holy Flaming Burst longsword (+5 weapon) it becomes a +5 Holy Flaming Burst Longsword (+9 weapon). Sure it's a cheap trick, but it works.
