| TheHumanDynamo10-25-06, 11:45 PM | I'm working on a battlefield control build using a full bab class leading into War Hulk from Miniature's Handbook (for great swing and mighty swing), but I'm having one problem. I can't figure out how to become size Large. I was going to play a Goliath, and was looking for a template, etc to make him permanently bigger (will allow for a larger spiked chain and great reach). Pretty much any books are allowed, though campaign specific(eberron, forgotten realms, etc) is iffy, and most Dragon stuff is disallowed (though it is on case by case basis; note: half-minotaur was already shot down as too good). Appreciate any help that you guys can offer. |
| Think002810-25-06, 11:48 PM | I think the usual route is Half-Ogre (Races of Destiny), LA+2. I could be wrong, though. |
| GaffeR10-26-06, 03:08 AM | Looks like you're stuck with Half-Ogre. Enlarge + Permanency might work, but it's iffy and dispellable. |
| PhoenixInferno10-26-06, 03:09 AM | Mountain Rage could work, if you're willing to forefit the benefits of War Hulk when you're not raging. |
| Part-Human210-26-06, 04:22 AM | Tauric or Lycanthropy are the only 2 that spring to mind that can change a PC's size. |
| FriendlyFrog10-26-06, 05:16 AM | Lycanthropes are a great way to enter the War hulk, as you lose No time to think when in your humanoid form. Makes those times you're not adventuring a lot easier. |
| Carey Z W10-26-06, 07:27 AM | Permenancy + Enlarge person. I think it costs 5000 |
| demonsinmyhead10-26-06, 07:57 AM | Half-Ogre with a permanent enlarge. Thats even better than large lol. |
| hogarth10-26-06, 08:30 AM | Other (cheesy) options: Maug with Incarnate Construct template (2 HD, +1 LA) the ever-popular Anthropomorphic Baleen Whale (3 HD, +0 LA) |
| TheHumanDynamo10-26-06, 08:35 AM | Thanks for the replies guys, I've got a lot of options it looks like. Mountain Rage and Lycanthrope are both interesting options as I get to choose when I have the benefits/drawbacks of the PrC. |
