Best base race for a half-celestial [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-16-06, 07:38 PM Using the level adjustments from BoED Half Celestial is only LA+2 for 1 or 2 HD Creatures. I'd like to take advantage of this low LA and also the half-celestial property of turning racial hit dice into outsider hit dice. So basically I'm looking for a humoid shaped race with 2 racial hit dice and as low of an LA as I can get.

Any ideas?

03-16-06, 10:26 PM The template does not turn racial HD into outsider HD. You only benefit from more skill points, you do not get full bab or good saves. So humanoid HD is really crappy. Though I might suggest lizardfolk. ;)

I am not sure how the BOED variant works, though it seems you get the lv dependent benefits only from racial HD, not total HD.
