| Komodo12-04-06, 06:22 PM | So I'm in a game right now, acting as the party's tank. We've got a wizard/dweomerkeeper, a warblade, and an NPC cleric healbot. We're using the spell recharge variant. As it stands, we're at seventh level. I am a warforged knight 6/crusader 1 (we're not even worrying about experience penalties for multiclassing). I was initially considering going for Warforged Juggernaut, because construct perfection seems pretty good for absorbing negative effects, but its other abilities seem primarily focused on charging and bullrushing, which aren't particularly useful for tanking. My stats, without any enhancement bonuses (which I don't have, anyway, though I do have 5000g to blow) are 18/13/20/16/11/14. My feats right now are: 1: Adamantine Body 2: Mounted Combat 3: Power Attack 5: Improved Shield Bash (DM let me take this as my bonus feat from Knight) 6: Improved Bull Rush We were also allowed two flaws, so I took Inattentive and Shaky, and used the bonus feats to take Improved Damage Reduction twice. Maneuvers right now are douse the flames, crusader's strike, vanguard strike, shield block, and battle leader's charge. I use the Iron Guard's Glare stance. I attack using shield bashes and a battlefist. Right now I have an AC of 25 (+1 adamantine plating, +1 razored heavy steel shield of bashing, +1 ring of protection, with +1 from Dex and +1 from the knight's shield block ability) with DR 4/adamantine. We used a hit point generation method that basically results in slightly more than full HP every level, so I have 136 hp with a Con of 20. For reference, the wizard has 70 hp and the warblade has 80-ish (he's an anthropomorphic tiger, so he's only has 4 HD). We've only had one session thus far, so nothing is really set in stone and I still have a chance to rearrange feats. Should I continue to pursue Warforged Juggernaut, go deeper into crusader or knight, or is there some better PrC to take? |
