52 pages of threads, and I cannot find one on how to build a good artificer? Can someone please provide a link to a thread on this, or give me a good build? I like the idea of crafting anything, and utilitarianism.

Thanks! :D

Unofficial artificer player's guide

Internalize this deep wisdom.

On the subject of builds, most artificers can craft like crazy anyway, (though warforged get a bit more mileage out of their crafting than most due to their racial sub levels) so you're going to have to decide what kind of artificer you want to play.

Archificier (I actally haven't seen builds for this but it is mentioned)

Buffificier (Persisted wands of divine power, and the like, buff up and run into combat). Warforged get the most out of this as they are able to heal themselves as well.

Blastificier (Read: Death by stick) metamagicking wands and blowing the gorram stuffing out of everything. Quite possibly the highest damage output of the three. Optimal race: Humans so you can take the Cannith wand adept prestige class. Caution: Wands are expensive. Best for high level optimization.

Search has been down for, well, years I believe. I can't even remember what it was like to have it. Everybody's hoping they'll get it back working with this update they have going on.

A substitute (if that's what you can call it) has been using Googles advanced search, limiting the domain to boards1.wizards.com/

Those links I posted were provided by Some handy links for CO work (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=482636) :D

There are other Artificer variants out there. I'm currently working on revising the Ninjaficer, which is the ultimate stealth character. He sneaks faster, hides better, and hits harder than any rogue.

Theres no real way to building the BEST! artificer, its kinda a trial bye error sorta deal, if you want builds then think of them yourself until you cant think no more then come onto here. Telling us you want some builds for an artificer is like telling us you cant think. Im not trying to be rude or mean or anything but thats the way it is. With that said.

Artificers are crafting gods, but there also looked down upon because some DMs dont allow them in there games, Some DMs think there useless which is there problem not ours, whatever the person thinks is fun they should go with enough said. Im still learning how to make a character for the funness of it not because what the party needs or anything.

As Caelic points out my list is far from complete, other artificier variants are out there (Domo-Arigato comes to mind). You might want to do the google search with the word artificer (and spend the next 5 hrs combing through the links, unfortunately)
