smileybob1 02-23-04, 04:07 PM	My scores after racial adjustments are as follows: STR 20 DEX16 CON 17 INT 12 WIS 14 CHA 10 The Character is a Half-Orc Ranger. He is taking the Path of the Sword so please no Bow stuff. I want at least 1 Level of Barbarian in the Development. If you can track development up to 20th level. I am completely open to all Prestidge classes. So what do you think the best options are. Thank you.

You should check the 3.5 ranger thread for some ideas. A lot of those can work in 1 level of barbarian. Or tell us more what you want your character to be like?
ninjarabbit 02-23-04, 08:03 PM	Do you want to be more ranger or barbarian? I'd recommend at least 2 levels of barbarian and picking up an extra rage feat.
Gerdreg 02-24-04, 07:20 AM	2 suggestions here: Strong melee Ranger: Half-Orc Paragon 3/ Ranger 17 Str +2. Full BAB. 3 Rages a day with Extra Rage feat. No Barbarian but with Paragon you may not want it. You can get HIPS at Ranger 17, very cool ability imho. The only thing you lose is Favored Enemy 5 and a few spells. My preferred choice: Barbarian 1/ Druid 4/ Prestige Ranger 15 All Ranger Abilities, BAB 19, Druid Caster Level 11 Buff spells and stronger Animal Companion to make up for less melee, not to mention access to 6th level spells if you get some Wis. [edit] Don't have my UA in front of me, not sure if Bar 1/ Dru 4 can meet the feat requirements. If not, Fighter 2/ Druid 3 will, but then you lose Rage and 6th level spells.
nikademus 02-24-04, 07:38 AM	Hello, you could go with : Ranger 9 Barbarian 1 Divine Champion 5 Guild Thief 5 that brings sneak attack 3d6, 4 bonus feats and Bab 18. Or more roguish Ranger 9 / Barbarian 1 / Guild Thief 5 / Divine Seeker 5 that brings 6d6 sneak attack and Bab 16. Nikademus
