| Delphias08-06-05, 05:07 PM | I would just like to know what you would do in this situation: Must be 10th level or lower Elves and Dwarves only. Any PC class/ prestige class from the PHB, Races of Stone and or Races of the Wild and DMG. Any race that has a level adjustment must incorporate it into their level. (Variants.) 50,000 gp to spend - 26,000 limit per item. Magic items limits They can't contain, and or require any spell a 10th level caster can't cast. Scenario - The elves are sick of the dwarves and vice versa. Two teams will battle for control of the caverns and edge of the Darkwood; with the survivors battling for who shall be king. Let me know of the Best character you can think of. (You'll be facing other PCs and NPCs of the same level.) Please include info. about the general focus of your character) |

| Delphias08-06-05, 10:39 PM | Sorry I forgot to tell you!! DOH!!!! It's for a battle royal type deal. You know, Everyone vs everyone. We will get about 5 rounds of Prep. time to get buffed. Then we'll be sent into an arena. There is usually other monsters and about 20 some PCs. The last time, there were very few restrictions, and some Wizard cast Shape change. NO CONTEST! HAHAHA!!!! |
| Sorcpowa09-05-05, 03:52 PM | I've got no idea but you could do a rogue/shadowdancer, and just go hide... When there's one guy left.... Kill him/her... Not very fun, but I guess you can do it... I didn't really answer your question did I????? |
| Lilt09-05-05, 04:01 PM | I'd suggest a Grey-Elven Arcane Hierophant but they're kindof at their teething stages at level 10. Druid 10 is always powerful. Is Leadership allowed? Just to confirm: Are the completes allowed? I've never seen a game allow the races books without the completes before, but I suppose there's always a first time. |
| Kohdok09-05-05, 04:37 PM | In Lords of Madness, there's some Duergar Tiefling variant that I just can't remember... Oh well, Barbarian of whatever that was with a sparking, flaming, freezing, dancing, returning greataxe, or something... |
| PhaedrusXY09-05-05, 05:03 PM | So you basically just want to massacre everyone else? It will be in an enclosed area, like an arena? Here are some ideas: Grey Elven Wizard 10. Take a feat that makes Use Magic Device a class skill, and make/buy an item that grants a bonus to that skill. Put the item on your familiar. Before the fights starts, quaff a potion of Delay Poison, and cast Mirror Image, Blink, and whatever other buffs you find appropriate on yourself. Share all this stuff with your familiar, of course. Put a Symbol of Sleep on your shirt, or buckler, or something, before the fight starts. Keep it covered until the first round of the fight, then have your familiar uncover it. That should take out all the guys with low Will saves. Put a Symbol of Pain on there too, while you're at it (Note: There is no saving throw listed for Symbol of Pain. Presumably it affects everyone within range, with no save). You might give everyone else a round to Coup De Grace all the sleeping guys before going on to the next part. ;) After your familiar uncovers the Symbols with its Move action, cast Cloudkill in the middle of the biggest concentration of enemies, and have your familiar use a Wand of Evard's Black Tentacles centered on the same area. You might move into the middle of all this, as you are basically immune to it (Blink lets you escape all grapples + Delay Poison for the Cloudkill). If you think the DM might not let Blink make you immune to the grappling tentacles, use a scroll of Freedom of Movement during the buff rounds via your Use Magic Device skill. If the arena area will have a stone floor, use a scroll of Meld into Stone, and then go into the ground after using your Symbols and spells, and let everyone else kill each other. Then come out and finish off the winner. :P |
