I think he is asking for a cheap yet effective way to negate the effects of "ray of enfeeblement". I would say...A cheap way would be a ring of counterspells. Only 4000, and you could have two of them.

Then again, you could just get a scroll of Lesser restoration. That is only 150, but it isn't as nifty as just negating it...Cheaper, though. As a potion, it is 300, but since you are worried, you are probably gonna be unable to cast a spell from a scroll anyway. I would say get a potion or two, for the cheapest way to get rid of the effect.

EDIT: That isn't actually a defense, though...So never mind. Still, if you are being hit with these a lot, it would work to get rid of the problem quickly. I am sure the great minds around here have some weird yet legal way around even that wasted action of drinking a potion, so I would say wait for one of THEM to answer, heh.

Oh! Got ya.

Yeah, seems as though prevention may not be cheap, though fixing the problem would be. Potions are the way to go.

Occult Slayer - redirect that spell back as a free action once or twice a day (depending on Occult Slayer Level).

1. Thanks, you're right.

2. I already have a wand of Lesser Restore, but using it means giving up my FA, and that hurts.

I want to prevent. I am 12/13th level, so that cash isn't a huge problem. A ring of Counterspells is certainly do-able.

how about spellblade enhancement on one of your weapons or armor spikes (found in Magic of Faerun)
it makes you immune to one spell chosen at the time of creation (no AoE spells).
When u are hit with the spell the weapon absorbs it and on your next turn you can direct it back as a free action
its a +1 enhancement so certainly affordable.

[edit:] Disregard that...I forgot spellblade was updated in PGtF to not only cost a flat 6000 instead of a +1 enhancement, but also to disallow effect spells in addition to AoE, which means you can't make yourself immune to rays via spellblade...
