Best deathmaster build plz [Archive] - Wizards Community

Id like to know if anyone knows the best build for a necromancer or a kind of death knight?? I havn't decided yet what i want to be but id like to know the best way to become a reel grim reaper. I like the flavor of the death knight because of the leeching life paladin and the dead mount but I also like the one of the kind of Diablo 2 necromancer character type with the undead army and the nice poison and curse spell.

If anyone could post the best build for the two so I could pick plz

08-21-05, 02:34 AM Actually you have a sizeable number of options.

Wizard or Sorcerer/Palemaster

Cleric/Wizard or Sorcerer/True Necromancer

Cleric/Master of Shrouds

Paladin/Bone Knight

Paladin/Cleric/Bone Knight

Cleric/Bone Knight

Bard/Dirge Singer

Then of course there's straight Wizard, Sorcerer, or Cleric. I'm sure I've forgotten a few, but these should be a start.

08-21-05, 07:59 AM You could always combine the two-- I made a character awhile back for a three class limit game that went fighter 5/horned harbinger 3/blackguard 2/horned harbinger 7/blackguard 3. I never got the chance to play him, but it was an interesting character, who had decent undead creation abilities without really needing to be a spellcaster and leadership as well as fighting skills.

08-21-05, 09:36 AM Here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=6256550&postcount=28) is a True Necromancer that I use as an NPC in my game. The PCs ran into a level 16 version of her already.

Another build I'd suggest is a Fallen Palladin1/Blackguard10/NarDemonbinder2/Spellsword5/ArcaneTrickster2. Take Arcane Strike and Extra Spell (Animate Dead). By combining Arcane Strike, Power Attack, a 2-handed spell storing weapon, and the Channel Spell ability, you will be able to deal insane blows. I have an NPC similiar to this in my game, also.

And I looked for the necromancer and found out that I prefer the deathknight kind of character.

So if anyone have any suggestions id like to know.

P.S. Wher can I find the Bone Knight PrC???
