best easy dip [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-04-06, 10:39 PM Hi all, just wondering what people thought were the best easy dips i.e classes / PrC's where you get lots of bang for your buck for a 1 or 2 level dip, and also have either no prereqs or prereqs of BAB: +4 or less etc

i reckon fighter 2 ( i don't like fighter 4)
[2 fetas]

Ranger 2:
[1st fav enemy, track , wild empathy, combat style]

Deepwood sniper 2 - master of the wild
[keen arrow, increase crit multiplier by +1, extra range and reduced concealments]

Barbarian 2
[+2 BABFast movementRage 1/dayUncanny dodge]

war hulker 4 (not really a dip i know) - miniatures
[+8 strengthMighty swingMighty rock throwing]

Thrall of Demogorgon - book of vile darkness [scally flesh +1 (natural armour +1), 1 feat, prereq - +4BAB, sneak attack or cast spell lv 1]

Tribal protector - Sword and fist pg 37
[feat, tribal enemy, homeland]

which others do you guys think?

11-04-06, 11:22 PM I'd read through it, but still found a little tough to follow because most of the classes chosen don't tell you anything about the class

was thinking of maybe setting up a thread that sets it up similar to the best weapon special ability thread etc, so split em up into +1, +2 etc BAB requ and then within that by ratings 1-5 stars or something

11-05-06, 02:32 AM If we're going to say Fighter 2, then let's add in Psychic Warrior 2 as well, 1 point of BAB in exchange for better skills, 2 feats and the ability to take psionic feats...

11-05-06, 02:43 AM Monk 2 is also a good dip: +3 to ALL saves, +1 BAB, bonus to land speed, bonus feats (limited, but free is better than cheap), and 4+INT skills from an alright skill list.

11-05-06, 07:25 AM Martial adepts, especially at higher levels, when you have auto-access to higher level Stances and such, are OMG good, if you're not running into XP penalty.
Hack and Smasher
11-05-06, 07:43 AM Duskblade1 it grants so much it ani't even funny. 3 Turestrikes (which you can cast in any armour you want because there's no somatic) good fort and will, spell like abiltys, heavy armour profs and +1 BaB.
