Best elementals and outsiders for planar binding [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-30-06, 07:55 AM I am trying to optimize the creatures I can call with Planar Binding (6th level)
While I found some nice Outsiders, I can't seem to find any useful elementals.

I want them to have good physical stats coupled with low Intelligence and Charisma, mainly to be used as brutes. Nice Outsiders include the Red Slaad (advanced to 12 HD, therefore increasing by two size categories) and the Mur-Zaghul Troll from Unaproachable East.

There are of course the elementals in the PHB but they have too many HD too be really useful. Do any of you know nice elementals that can be summoned via Planar Binding?

Personally, I like the Djinn. While not super powerful in combat, the ability to wind walk and plane shift your entire group is really quite nice.
