| Pallin Rahl09-07-06, 04:21 AM | What do you feel are the best (official WotC) PrCs to pick up, to maximize your favored enemy killing power? :) (please note the book the PrC is located in) |
| PhaedrusXY09-07-06, 05:24 AM | By far it is the Foe Hunter from Masters of the Wild. Take some levels of something that gives you Favored Enemy: Evil before entering it (like Stalker of Kharesh, BoED), and you can get massive bonuses vs. all evil creatures... especially if you have Spell Resistance from another source to start with. I don't know if it has been updated to 3.5 anywhere. |
| X-Codes09-07-06, 05:45 AM | I'm reasonably certain it hasn't, and if it has it's been sorely neutered. After that is the Slayer from the SRD. In 10 levels you amass a +8 favored enemy bonus against one favored enemy, which is incredibly useful if you know you're going to be ripping through the Underdark, so you take Aberration, or tramping through Hades, so you take Outsider (Evil), and so on and so fourth. It also gives some other *very* useful abilities, including 9/10 psionics progression and immunity to mind-affecting abilities. |
| Sithobi109-07-06, 07:24 AM | The slayer has to choose a psionic creature, so it's really not very good(for Favored Enemy; it's otherwise one of the best psionic PrCs) unless you're facing illithids, at which point it's magnificent. |

Meh, still, arguably you could choose Psionic Humanoids which would include nearly every manifester in the world. The wording isn't too specific on that. Granted, I suppose the Mind Immunity makes a little more sense when your specific training is against psionic creatures as opposed to something like... Giants... |
| Sithobi109-07-06, 07:46 AM | I'd have to say "declaring a type of psionic creature" is a bit narrower than "psionic humanoid", and closer to "Psionic Human" or "Psionic Elf". |

Well, in any given D&D game only 1 opinion matters when it comes to rules disputes, and it's neither of ours (unless, of course, one of us happens to be the DM of said game). |
| Brol_The_Mighty09-07-06, 06:11 PM | I would happen to agree with the Foe Hunter. |
| PhoenixInferno09-07-06, 06:55 PM | Aside from Foe Hunter, there really aren't that many, outside of Stalker of Kharash/Harper Paragon. |
| OGS-Remix09-07-06, 07:06 PM | Favored Enemy is very campaign specific, so you kinda need to know what you're going to be fighting. For general Favored Enemy feats, there are a bunch like Favored Critical, Favored Power attack, etc. In BoED Nemesis is an awesome feat, especially if you have Favored Enemy (Evil). |
| Brol_The_Mighty09-07-06, 07:22 PM | Favored Critical? I don't remember seeing this one... |
| OGS-Remix09-07-06, 08:12 PM | Sorry I was thinking of an Epic Feat. It's called Bane of Enemies -> Death of Enemies. They're ok, but since they're epic they're not dealt with on board 339. |
| Brol_The_Mighty09-07-06, 08:23 PM | that, and you have to have the full Favored Enemy progression i.e. 5 Favored Enemies :S |
