Best Favored Shapes for Master Transmogrifst? [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-27-06, 12:47 PM Anyone have a link to most recent discussion on "best" polymorph forms? For those not familiar with the Mast. Trans. they get to choose 7 "Favorites" that they gain special bonuses with. Anyone who has a favorite form, please post also.

That is a nice guide to Polymorph but it isn't the best for Master Transmogrifies since it doesn't take in account the Mast. Tran.'s Manifest Quality and Infinite Variety abilities. Like having Will-O'-Wisp as a favorite shape so that they can add the Wisp's Immunity to Magic ability to another form with Infinite Variety. Another chooses that people seem to like to use favorite shape on are hydra to get a nice fast healing ability and war troll from Monster Manual III since it as a regenerate ability that is only venerable to acid.

Except it's supernatural, and thus you can't get it.

10-29-06, 11:00 PM If you can somehow get ahold of shapechange (you can't by normal spellcasting progression, by levle 20), then you can grab the choker's (su) abilities.

Personally, I like arcane ooze, because other spellcasters hate it.

10-29-06, 11:20 PM Geeze, I never realized that you couldnt realize 9th level spellcasting with this class. My suggestion was assuming that Shapechange was involved, so I suppose unless you are able to grab an item that allows shapechange my advise is rather pointless.
