Best Feats for an Enlightened Fist [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-01-06, 04:14 AM I'm making an Enlightened Fist character and I can't decide what feats to take.
12th level character, Human. 2 monk, 3 sorc, 7 Enlightened Fist. Assume one of the feats will be spent on leadership. I feel I got a good line-up but does anyone have any other good combinations out there? (note: enlightened fist grants an ability thats exactly the same as the Fiery Fist ability so I already looked at that feat tree)

08-01-06, 05:26 AM -Empower Spell.
-Ascetic Mage! From the Complete Adventurer, this feat will give you CHA not WIS to AC, plus a lesser version of Arcane Strike.
-Speaking of which, you may or may not want Arcane Strike.

08-01-06, 05:32 AM yeah, a +4 bonus may or may not be worth a 4th level spell. Probably not, but right now I think I've got enough to spare (4 spells / day, 1 spell known). Ascetic mage is cool, It'll definantly save me from putting a high stat in WIS just for a little extra AC thanks. Anything else? I was hoping something to increase my to hit. I feel like its a bit too low for this level, (as is, its only a +11 which is below equal lvl figther BaB). I wish I could somehow increase it without taking lvls of fighter. Enlighted fist is kinda forced into a rouges attack progression, and with the number of attacks and style of this character I'd hate to whif all the time

08-01-06, 05:45 AM If your DM allows rapid stunning to work with enlightened fist abilities, then go for it. Lots of polar rays/round is cool.

iirc Arcane Strike will affect all your attacks - so I'd say its definitely worth it for a flurrying monk.

Also, your to-hit rolls can probably best be helped by taking Wraithstrike as one of your spells. But a decent BAB for more attacks is still definitely a good thing. Maybe ask your DM if you can use fractional BAB from Unearthed Arcana - that should get you an extra point from the .75 for Monk 1 and the .5 for Sorc 3.
