Best full BaB shifter [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-01-07, 10:19 PM What would be the best build for a Shifter (with claws, and as a secondary, the running one). The catch is that I am looking for a full BaB build.. maybe fighter 2, ranger X (with sub levels).. the other catch is no ToB, cause a warblade would be too easy. I have access to all books.

02-02-07, 12:52 AM Fighter+Barbarian probably works better for you than Ranger since you (?) plan to use natural attacks rather than weapons.

War Hulk would be great if you could somehow manage "Size: Large" (not full BAB, but Str+2 is even better than BAB if you're focusing on natural attacks).

You might also look at Bear Warrior as a thematically consistent PrC (no idea how shifter abilities interact with that, but probably wasted; if not, that could be interesting), since it also gets full BAB and d12 hp/lvl. Slap 4 levels of Warshaper onto Bear Warrior and you're really cooking with fire (lose 1 BAB, though).

02-02-07, 02:10 AM some sort of totem rager could be cool, MoI stuff. aint there a bunch of totemist melds which buff previously existing nat. attacks?

02-02-07, 09:06 PM yea, but totemist is 3/4 Bab... If I started as a ranger/barb, and got an animal companian, I could take share frenzy, and the ranger sub level, so when I shift and rage, all my animal companians do as well.. is this RAW or RAI?
