Best Gish? (using only non-campaign books) [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-28-06, 07:22 PM Did you look at any of the Gish threads? There are several large compilations of these types of characters already on this board, and "best" is a very subjective term. I'd suggest you look through them, and decide for yourself what is "best". You can find them via the Optimization Library, and the Handy Links for CO Work threads, both of which can be found in the Important Links stickied at the top of the thread.

12-29-06, 12:32 AM Yeah, the "best" gish really depends on party dynamics I think. So you'll need to figure out what exactly your party needs and then build around that.

Swordsage 2/Battle sorcerer4/ Jade Phenoex Mage10/Swordsage4

9th level manuvers from desert wind or devoted mind but only 6th level spells.

Other bonuses are... in the right stance all day DR 10/evil - WOW

HIGH ac with wis to ac while in light armor. The spells extended Dragonskin to gives a NA bonus, and shield also boosts AC. With equipment its easy to get 40 AC by level 13.

Saves are all moderate with high will.

BAB 17

Only weakspot is low HP and some MAD. Get a ring of evasion and that helps a bunch.
