Best items for Inflitrate and destroy [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-03-04, 07:29 PM I currently have a lvl 7 Rogue soon to PrC into a Ninja Spy and im wondering what are the best items for infiltrating into and enemy base or whatever and for neutralizing guards and the such?

I have a Hide of 32, a Move Silently of 16...if this helps.

Also are there any items that can put enemies to sleep with out me actually dmging them?

03-03-04, 08:54 PM theres some neat contraptions in Song and Silence. i really like the 'automated footpad', wind it up,a nd let it roll down the hall in the opposite direction, gaurds think theres an intruder in an entirley other place.

also nice are the expanable pole - good for vaulting over walls, slippers of spider climb, hat of disguise (make yourself look like a gaurd), wand of knock for getting past magically locked doors, grease or oil to stop creaking doors or windows as you open them, anything that gives you invisibility, or hide and move silently bonuses, a possum pouch (song and silence) allows you to hide a few small items (dagger, lockpick, etc) in it and then you can conceal in on yourself (Search DC 30 to find). if you get caught, you might be able to conceal the tools nessecary for escaping, or perhaps if its a more public place, steal whatever it is you wanted, (if its small) stick it in the pouch, and walk right out, the gaurds can search you all they want. thats just some ideas, be creative, theres lots of things you can do depending on the situation.

ps - reach theives tools

if you dont have song and silence i'd suggest picking it up, some very neat gizmos, and the theif acrobat PrC goes well with the ninja concept. good luck.

03-03-04, 09:21 PM heh, i had a feeling someone would ask. (+10 Ranks, +6 Ability Modifier,+4 For a cloak i have, +2 for racial bonus, im a tiefling, and +10 for a ring of chameleon power.)

Lens of Detect Magic (is there such a thing?) (look for archways of dispel magic and other magical traps/countermeasures)

The ability to cast Nystul's Magical Aura (to hide the magic items)

An Assassin's Dagger

Get out of Jail Free Card (also known as a Scroll of Dimensional Door).. too bad you can't make it into a business card...

Symbol spells on your body so that if they capture and strip you, they are royally :censored:.

A distraction... Perhaps a scroll of Extended Summon Monster with a high caster level.
