hogarth 02-13-06, 08:44 AM	Mineral Warrior and Feral are probably the most powerful (along with Half-Minotaur from Dragon magazine) templates you'll find for +1 LA (some might even say overpowered). On a more reasonable level, you might try Half-Ogre from Races of Destiny for +2 LA.
Killion 02-13-06, 09:16 AM	You might try Winged from Savage Species, especially for a ranged combatant. I once played a winged wood elf scout with a greatbow and 24 Dex. It ruled.
Tweedledope 02-13-06, 09:18 AM	Well...Half-Celestial using the rules labeled in the Book of Exalted Deeds might not be a bad choice either. However, I second (and third) a Feral Mineral Warrior because you'll be unstoppable with your DR and your Fast Healing. -=TD=-

Sir Gummibaerchen 02-13-06, 02:25 PM	I think Phrenic is nice. It may not augument your strengths, but it decreases your Weaknesses. And gives you more versatility, as it opens the possiblity of taking psionic feats.
Lilt 02-13-06, 05:58 PM	I'm a big fan of Phrenic also. It gives SR, Immediate-Cast psi-likes that can shore-up your will-save, teleportation can decrease travelling times significantly, domination can give you some low-level mooks, and can also be useful offensively if your charisma is half-decent (made slightly easier by the fact that the template gives +4 charisma). The power point also allows you to take cook psionic feats like Up the Walls. Feal Mineral Warrior is nice, but you're not gonna be winning any beauty contests. It's also somewhat unlikely to get past your DM because they're both really quite (perhaps too) powerful. Half ogre is really quite good but should be allowable. Reach and big strength make for a quite powerful fighter.

Bad Man 02-13-06, 07:18 PM	Draconic is a great +1 adj template from Draconomicon Blooded is an uncommon one from Faerun (unapproachable east or races of faerun I think). It gives you a good con boost, some natural armour, a once per day rage type buff, and a bonus feat of somekind for only +1adj
Dark_and_Stormy 02-13-06, 07:35 PM	Blooded is un UE. I believe it give you Combat Reflexes. Also worth considering: Divine Minion. Although not great in and of itself, it allows direct access into Wildshaper, 4 levels only loses 1 BAB, and gains +5' Reach, +4 STR and CON, Immune to Crits/Sneak, Fast Healing, and Built-In weaponry. Combine with White Dragonspawn for muchos Natural Armour and a couple nice spells/day.

And that was a doozie. Sorry folks. Personally, I'd stick with Whitedragonspawn, and Mineral Warrior after you shake off your evil master (and gain a new one). Lots of RP there for the poor bugger constantly in the grips of evil forces.
