I'm trying to put together a character for my fiance for a 3.0 game we're about to start. She wants to play an archer, and we've got 200,000 gold to spend, starting at 15th level. I was wondering what the best way to spend that on magic items was, as far as what kind of bow, arrows, quiver, and anything else to complement her archery skills she could use (I've never played this type of character before).

All 3.0 era WotC books are go. We can create items, or purchase the ready-made ones.

I was thinking so far of trying to create some kind of item (possibly the quiver) that could cast Greater Magic Weapon on her arrows. But I'm not sure what else to giver her to maximize her potential to hit and damage.

If it helps, the build will probably be a 1 Ranger/4 Figher/8 OotBI/7 Deepwod.

Thanks in advance!

Quiver of Anariel.

While you're at it, pick up an Elven bow too. Nothing wrong with getting the ocassional AOO on a badguy who discounts you because you have a bow.

Make sure the Bow is Serren (BoED) and don't put any +'s on the bow, as it no longer stacks, in 3.5. If you plan on using Hunter's Mercy (or Exacting Shot) in conjuction with Deepwood Sniper, then Some of the 'burst' enchantments are good. Exit Wound is nifty. And useful, if you can line up shots right.

Dont forget all the normal goodies, cloak of resistant, boots/cloak of elvenkind, mithril armor, and so on.

Strongly consider a ring of spell storing. And some ranger wands. Look for the Archery ones in CAdv, as well as Hunter's Mercy.

EDIT: And If you need to be told ... Bracers of Archery.
