08-24-05, 05:44 PM I'm making a sand shaper, here's the question:

Can Earthen Grasp (CA) be cast with awakened sand (Sandstorm) as the surface area.

This would allow the hand to move around and increase the power of the Sand ooze's engulf since the hand could grapple something first.

Can an ooze be a mount for the purposes of mounted combat?

08-24-05, 05:53 PM It's hard to tell rules-wise, but do note that the awakened sand is immune to polymorphing.

I would say that the sand (which is actually a construct) could be used as a mount, yes.
